
So when Flossie appeared we decided we needed to be ready for this one. She was the biggest hurricane and came the closest since 1992 when Iniki hit. We found out the escape route and where the shelter was if we had to evacuate. We bought bottle water and can goods. The Reef boarded up the glass panels by the pool and took down the pool side umbrellas. School was closed. All water activity was shut down. Businesses closed by noon. We were all ready.
And nothing happened - not even rain.
So now we know what to do and where to go. Let's just say it was good practice.

good thing you were able to 'weather' the 'storm'. it has finally rained and broke the 100 degree marathon we were having! looks like it's going to be a beautiful day! love ya! s
