Had to go to Hilo to pick up the micro wave that was there for repair. Called Aunty Gerry to let her know we were going into Hilo to see if she wanted anything from CostCo.

After all these years we are still in awe of the grounds of the property and the wonderful fruit that is available.

We picked three avacados that morning and enjoyed them the following week. Need to share the recipies -

Avacado with stuff Shrimp

Avacado with Chicken and Salsa and Cheese Chips

Don't know what I will do with the third one but I can tell you the avocados are like nothing you buy at the store. Almost makes us want to own a home.

Super Ferry

A couple of Saturdays ago we were invited to visit on the new Super Ferry that will be going between the Islands in the near future. Actually service should have started last week between Honolulu, Maui and Kauai. Service to the Big Island should start early 2008.

It's big, beautiful and you can take your car with you - that

is a plus compared to flying. Price is a little less than flying

and cost of shipping the car if you are staying for awhile is

a lot better than renting.

Right now service has been halted because of opposition from residents on Maui and Kauai. They are demanding environmental studies.

It was a fun day for us and we are looking forward to using this service in the future.
